Pedro
8 pm/ET MTV
No
Real World
alum has had a more lasting impact than San Francisco cast member Pedro Zamora (1972-94), one of the first openly gay HIV-positive men to appear on national television. After being diagnosed with the disease at age 17, he dedicated the rest of his entirely too-short life raising AIDS awareness among young people. This touching biographical docudrama chronicles the extraordinary life of the man who helped humanize the disease and vowed to "keep the cameras going every step of the way, no matter how bad it gets."

I Get That a Lot
8 pm/ET CBS
This just in: Jeff Probst quits
Survivor
to work at a supermarket, while Heidi Klum indulges a lifelong desire to sell pizza. Psych! CBS punks viewers with an April Fool's Day special that convinces citizens that the celebs they have come across doing regular jobs behind the counter are just really good look-alikes. Ice-T selling shoes? Now that's funny.

Damages
10 pm/ET FX
This is the season finale, so expect resolutions. Some, anyhow. For starters, FX is promising an "explosive conclusion" to Ellen's quest for revenge against Patty. We know that Patty will be back next season, as will Ellen, presumably. (You don't think that Wes will actually kill her, do you?) So what does the blurb mean? Then there's the UNR case. Will Patty nail Kendrick? And who'll pay for Christine Purcell's murder? Kendrick had a hand in that, too. Swell guy, isn't he?

RENO 911!
10:30 pm/ET Comedy Central
Last season's cliffhanger explosion was not the department's finest hour, so one can forgive Jim's reluctance to address it head-on in tonight's sixth-season premiere. But we do get to meet two new officers: by-the-book sergeant Jack Declan (Ian Roberts); and Dep. Franky Rizzo (Joe Lo Truglio), who goes on a stakeout with Jones and makes it hard to figure out which side of the law he's on. Meanwhile, Jim and Raineesha confront a terminated employee (Jonah Hill) who won't leave his job.

Life on Mars
10:02 pm/ET ABC
Should I stay or should I go? In the series finale of this acclaimed ensemble drama, a mysterious caller offers Sam a way to return to 2008. All he has to do is perform three simple tasks. But Sam is confused by his circumstances and wonders whether he even wants to go back now.

Dancing with the Stars
9 pm/ET ABC
It's double trouble as two contestants get booted in tonight's double elimination, based on their performances with last night's Argentine tango or Lindy Hop. Holly Madison was in the bottom two last week, so could her number be up? Or has Steve-O's back injury gotten the best of him? Then there's Steve Wozniak, who got a 10 from the judges last week
—
not a perfect 10, but a combined total of 10. Will his charm save him once again, or is it the end of the road for him and Karina?

Jennifer Sankowski
Cupid
10:02 pm/ET ABC
TV auteur Rob Thomas (
Veronica Mars
) mines his past with this remake of his short-lived 1998 series of the same name. Then it was Jeremy Piven in the lead. Now it's Bobby Cannavale (
Third Watch
), who stars as a possibly mixed-up man who believes that he's Cupid, the Roman god of love. Golden Globe nominee Sarah Paulson (
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
) costars as the psychiatrist he's assigned to after his three-month stint in a mental institution.

American Idol
8 pm/ET FOX
The singers revved up and motored through Motown hits last week, but it was Michael Sarver who finally stalled out. It was a slippery spill for the charming oil-rig laborer when his version of "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" by the Temptations failed to tempt America or the judges. Now the final nine go on without the big humble Texan. With that, Kris Allen, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud (how on earth was he in the bottom three last week?), Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Megan Joy, Adam Lambert, Scott MacIntyre and Lil Rounds return in performance showcases tonight.

Frontline
9 pm/ET PBS (check local listings)
"Sick Around America" highlights how the ongoing recession is exasperating the health-care crisis, which finds too many either uninsured or underinsured. Georgetown professor Karen Pollitz equates the latter to having a car with an airbag made from tissue paper. "If I ever get in a crash," she says, "it's not going to protect me." The report goes deep into the crisis, detailing the difficulties faced by small businesses, their employees and people seeking coverage on their own, as well as relating several insurance-nightmare stories and sizing up Massachusetts' health-care reform.

Osbournes: Reloaded
9:25 pm/ET FOX
The title is apt for this new guerrilla comedy-variety show, which finds Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly performing comedy as well as music, hosing the studio audience down with foam, working at a fast-food drive-through, asking a blindfolded audience member to make out with a stranger and moving in with other families named Osbourne, among other things. There's only one rule: no rules!

Chuck
8 pm/ET NBC
Superspy Sarah's complex feelings for Chuck are put under the microscope at the behest of agency bigwig Diane Beckman, who last week surmised that Sarah's emotions are compromising her job performance. Enter a sightly but frosty female agent named Alex (Tricia Helfer of
Battlestar Galactica
), who's assigned to oversee Chuck and evaluate Sarah. Tension soon escalates between the two women, so expect the gloves to come off

House
8 pm/ET FOX
House is a patient tonight, but that's not what makes the episode unusual. In fact, it's only a plot device to get him next to the real patient of the week, an injured bicyclist named Lee (Mos Def) who can't move or talk or communicate in any way. The docs treating him think he's comatose, but the patient in the next bed (that would be our antihero, House, who was hurt in a motorcycle mishap) has other ideas. Much of the episode is told from Lee's point of view: You see what Lee sees.

CSI: Miami
10 pm/ET CBS
At the end of last week's harrowing episode, Ryan was kidnapped by thugs working for Ivan Sarnoff, the Russian mob boss Horatio recently put behind bars. But he's not held captive for long. Why? They want Ryan to cover up evidence of a robbery-homicide connected to the mob and frame someone else. If he refuses, they threaten to kill Billy Gantry, the young son of Ryan's former Gambler's Anonymous sponsor, whom they have taken hostage. Talk about a rock and a hard place.

Holiday Hostage Hell
11 pm/ET Travel
Most Travel Channel shows make you want to see the world. This one might make you want to stay home. It details true accounts of travelers who've found themselves in horrifying hostage situations abroad. The series opener tells the story of British botanist Tom Hart Dyke, who was kidnapped by Colombian guerrillas while backpacking in the Darien Gap, and then held captive in the jungle for nine long months.

The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency
8 pm/ET HBO
Never underestimate a woman's intuition. An ebullient Jill Scott stars as Precious Ramotswe, a woman who opens the titular agency after her father dies. In the breezy, two-hour premiere episode — which was written by Richard Curtis (
Bridget Jones
,
Four Weddings and a Funeral
) and the late Anthony Minghella (
The English Patient
) and directed by Minghella — Precious sets up shop and investigates all sorts of female-centric malfeasance. The postcard-pretty series, based on the best-selling novels by Alexander McCall Smith, was filmed entirely on location in Botswana. A nearly unrecognizable Anika Noni Rose (
Dreamgirls
) costars as Precious' odd assistant.
Amazing Race 14
8 pm/ET CBS
Plucky flight attendants Christie and Jodi were finally jettisoned last week in India, leaving six teams to continue the race tonight in sweltering Thailand, where things get really wild. The racers experience close encounters with a foot-massaging elephant and a supposedly tranquil tiger. At the pit stop, Margie collapses on the mat due to the region's extreme heat.

United States of Tara
10 pm/ET Showtime
In this commendable outing, Tara decides to take matters out of her own hands and put them in someone else's by checking herself into a clinic. The resident expert, Dr. Holden (Joel Gretsch), preaches that she must deal with her repressed memories because "you can't get better until you know what happened to you" and that it's time to "break down the walls" between her and her alters. The alters, however, aren't interested in breaking down any walls and block efforts to dredge up the past.

Ray Stackhouse
Masterpiece Classic
9 pm/ET PBS (check local listings)
Newcomer Claire Foy is a delight in this sparkling five-part adaptation of Charles Dickens'
Little Dorrit
, from the pen of famed screenwriter Andrew Davies (
Bleak House
,
Pride and Prejudice
). An oft-overlooked entry in the Dickens pantheon about financial ruin, rebirth and sacrifice in 1820s England, the story opens with young Amy (Foy), whose father (Tom Courtenay) has been in a debtors' prison for a quarter century, going to work for a stern shut-in (Judy Parfitt).

The Simpsons
8 pm/ET FOX
Homer and Marge are not married! It seems that Reverend Lovejoy's recertification fee was declined by his credit card and everything he has officiated during the last three months is invalid, and that includes

Marge and Homer's second marriage. An elaborate ceremony to renew the Simpsons' vows is planned, but will a kidnapping keep it from happening?
