Alicia Silverstone Fast Facts:

Began modeling at an early age, and soon moved into commercials.
First big-screen lead role was in 1993's The Crush.
Legally emancipated at age 15 to work the long hours on The Crush.
Dropped out of high school and earned her GED.
Gained widespread face recognition from appearances in three Aerosmith videos: "Cryin'," "Amazing" and "Crazy."
Had her big-screen breakthrough in Clueless (1995).
Her cousin Lisa Trerotola was a victim of the 9/11 attacks- she was working in the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
A well known animal-rights activist, environmental activist and an avowed vegan, Silverstone appeared nude in a PETA ad in September 2007.
