Anthony Geary Fast Facts:
  • Attended college on a theater scholarship.
  • Did a stint as a Las Vegas chorus boy with Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca; ended up scarring his chin with a wrongly timed dance leap in 1968.
  • Appeared on the NBC soap Bright Promise in the early '70s.
  • In 1978, he was cast as Luke Spencer on ABC's soap General Hospital and went on to win four Daytime Emmys in the role. Luke and Laura's November 1981 General Hospital wedding was the most-watched event in daytime television history.
  • Left General Hospital in 1984 to pursue other acting opportunities, but returned to the show in 1991.
