Antonio Banderas Fast Facts:

Aspired to play soccer professionally until he fractured his foot at age 14.
Since he did not yet know English when he filmed 1992's The Mambo Kings, he had to learn his lines phonetically.
Earned an honorary Doctor of the Arts degree from Dickinson College in 2000.
In 2003, he starred in Nine on Broadway while his wife Melanie Griffith appeared in Chicago at a theater across the street.
