During his tenure, he embarked on a long-term, paparazzi-ridden romance with Julia Roberts that ended in 2001. After leaving the series, Bratt turned to the big screen and married his Piñero costar Talisa Soto. After a series of high-profile flops — The Next Best Thing, Red Planet, Catwoman — he returned to television in 2005 in the military drama E-Ring.
