James Cameron Fast Facts:

Was inspired to become a filmmaker when he saw 1968's 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Worked as a truck driver while trying to make it as a screenwriter.
Breakthrough hit was The Terminator (1984). Its producer, Gale Anne Hurd, became the second Mrs. Cameron; female lead Linda Hamilton became his fourth wife.
Twice appeared as himself on Entourage as the director of a fictitious blockbuster called Aquaman starring Adrian Grenier's character Vince.
Has served on the NASA Advisory Council; also involved with ocean exploration and conservation.
