Catherine Bach Fast Facts:

Is of German and Mexican descent.
Relocated to California in 1970, where she enrolled in drama classes to study acting with coaches Milton Katselas and Anna Strasberg; worked at Woolworth's department store until she landed acting jobs.
Made her film debut in 1974's Burt Lancaster murder-mystery The Midnight Man.
Best known for her portrayal of Daisy Duke in the '70s series The Dukes of Hazzard, on which she designed her own wardrobe, cut-off denim shorts that were named after her character. She reportedly disliked her original outfit, a poodle skirt and frilly shirt.
Became a spokesperson for the World Wildlife Fund and testified before Congress on behalf of the Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation Act of 1994.
Along with husband Peter Lopez, founded the organization C.O.A.C.H. for Kids in 1998, which offers free medical services for children and their families, via mobile medical clinics, who reside in low-income areas of Los Angeles County.
