Michael Chiklis Fast Facts:

First lead role, as a ninth grader, was as Hawkeye Pierce in a high-school stage adaptation of M*A*S*H.
Has acted professionally since the age of 13, when he earned his Actor's Equity card for appearing in a Massachusetts stage production of Romeo and Juliet.
Turned down hockey and football scholarships to study drama at Boston University's School of Fine Arts.
Made his TV debut (as a cop) on a 1989 episode of Miami Vice.
