Colm Meaney Fast Facts:

Studied at Dublin's Abbey School of Music & Drama, and later joined the theatre's stock company.
Made his TV debut in 1978 on the BBC crime drama Z Cars.
Best known for playing Miles O'Brien on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine from 1987-99.
Made the leap to the big screen in the late '80s, appearing in John Huston's The Dead (1987), as well as 1990's Dick Tracy and Die Hard 2.
Has shown up on numerous TV series since Star Trek, including Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Stargate: Atlantis and Men in Trees.
