In a funny twist of acting fate, David Boreanaz played a vampire's victim in the cheapie flick Macabre Pair of Shorts before hitting the big time as a guilt-ridden vampire on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel. Tall and athletic with smoldering good looks, the small-screen sex symbol went from brooding supernatural hero to brooding FBI agent on the forensics drama Bones. Although he was once reportedly romantically linked with his Buffy costar Sarah Michelle Gellar, he wed Playboy Playmate-cum-actress Jaime Bergman in 2001 and fathered a son the next year.
