David Morse Fast Facts:

Studied acting with William Esper.
Joined the Boston Repertory Theater in 1971.
Directed two episodes of St. Elsewhere.
Moved with his family to Philadelphia — his wife Susan Wheeler Duff's hometown — after their Los Angeles home was destroyed in the 1994 earthquake.
Worked as a Boston taxi driver to make ends meet in 1972; 30 years later, he landed a role as a Philly cabbie in the drama series Hack.
Was the first English-speaking actor nominated for the Golden Horse Award (Taiwan's Chinese-language Oscar) for his supporting performance in the 2002 film Double Vision.
