Peter Falk Fast Facts:

Lost his right eye to a tumor at the age of 3.
First appeared on stage in a camp production of The Pirates of Penzance at the age of 12.
After finishing school, he unsuccessfully interviewed for a position with the CIA. Spent three years as an efficiency expert for the Connecticut State Budget Bureau.
Bing Crosy was the first choice to play Columbo and Lee J. Cobb was also considered before Falk finally landed the role. (The Columbo character first appeared on TV in a 1960 episode of The Chevy Mystery Show, played by Bert Freed.)
Surprised his former high-school classmates by attending his 50th reunion in 1995. He had been senior class president.
Other than acting, his great artistic passion is drawing.
