Dan Futterman Fast Facts:

Came to prominence as Amy Brenneman's brother on Judging Amy.
Met wife Anya Epstein when he guest starred on a 1999 episode of Homicide: Life on the Street which she had written.
Earned an Oscar nod for writing the script for the 2005 bio-pic Capote, his first screenplay.
Both he and Capote director Bennett Miller have known Philip Seymour Hoffman (who took home an Oscar for his incredible performance as the troubled gay author) since their teens, when they all met at a theater summer camp.
