Jessica Lange Fast Facts:

Won an art scholarship to the University of Minnesota, but dropped out to travel with Spanish photographer Paco Grande, whom she later married and divorced.
Studied mime in Paris with Marcel Marceau's teacher, Etienne Decroux.
Initially worked as a model for the Wilhelmina Agency before making her film debut as the female lead in the notorious 1976 remake of King Kong.
Former boyfriend — director, writer and choreographer Bob Fosse — cast her as the Angel of Death in his 1979 semi-autobiographical film All That Jazz.
Breakthrough role was in the 1981 remake of The Postman Always Rings Twice.
In 1982, she became the first actress in over four decades to be nominated for both Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress Oscars in the same year.
Made Broadway debut in a 1992 revival of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, playing Blanche DuBois. She returned to Broadway in 2005 as Amanda Wingfield in a revival of Williams' The Glass Menagerie.
