Joe Flanigan Fast Facts:

Raised near Reno, NV, where his parents owned a ranch.
Had his first taste of the limelight at 14 when he starred as Stanley Kowalski in a high school production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
Spent his junior year of college in France.
Said he never saw an episode of the original Stargate until he was cast for the pilot of Stargate Atlantis.
Came up with the story for the Stargate Atlantis episode "Epiphany" in which his character was stuck on a planet where time speeds up; series executive producer Brad Wright wrote the script.
