John Forsythe Fast Facts:

Began his career as an announcer for the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field.
Performed on radio soaps before serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Starred in two Alfred Hitchcock movies, The Trouble with Harry (1955) and Topaz (1969), and appeared in several episodes of the director's classic TV series.
Narrated the syndicated series World of Survival and acted as spokesperson for the World Wildlife Fund.
"I try to be realistic about my talents," he told TV GUIDE in 2001. "I know I'm not a great actor. I am a good journeyman actor and I always do my best, but I'm not jealous of Henry Fonda or George C. Scott or Brando because they have 'touched by the hand of God' talent and I don't."
