Kristen Johnston Fast Facts:

Father is a former state legislator from Wisconsin.
Began a lucrative stage career with off-Broadway's lauded Atlantic Theater Company after obtaining her degree in drama from New York University.
Appeared in 1993's The Debt, which won Best Short at the Cannes Film Festival.
Breakout stage role as a surly, drunken New Yorker in Lincoln Center's The Lights jump-started her TV career: A Carsey-Werner casting agent saw her performance and recommended her for the role of Sally Solomon on 3rd Rock from the Sun.
Auditioned for 3rd Rock several times before landing her seminal role, for which she earned two Emmy Awards.
Appeared on the cover of Bad Religion's 1998 album No Substance.
