Martin Short Fast Facts:

Mother was a concert master with the Hamilton Philharmonic.
Attended college with fellow SCTV members Eugene Levy and Dave Thomas.
Was in the famed 1972 Toronto production of Godspell with Levy, Gilda Radner, Victor Garber and Andrea Martin.
Made his Broadway debut opposite Bernadette Peters in the 1993 musical adaptation of The Goodbye Girl, for which he received a Tony nod. He won a statuette in 1999 for his turn in the revival of Little Me.
Recipient of the Order of Canada in 1994.
