John Rhys-Davies Fast Facts:

After graduating from college, he spent a year teaching before he decided to pursue acting.
Made his big-screen debut in a small role as a cop in the 1974 thriller The Black Windmill.
Spent two seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the late '70s.
Shared the National Board of Review Award for Best Acting by an Ensemble and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture along with his The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King costars.
Has lent his voice to numerous animated series, including Animaniacs, Batman: The Animated Series, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk and Pinky and the Brain.
