  • Founded Ridley Scott Associates (RSA), a UK-based commercial production company, for which he directed some 3,000 TV commercials, including the classic 1984-like ad for Apple Computers that aired during the 1984 Super Bowl.
  • Founded the production company Scott Free with his director brother Tony Scott.
  • Knighted in 2003.
