Saffron Burrows Fast Facts:

Began modeling after being discovered at age 14 by a talent scout (the same one who discovered Naomi Campbell) while shopping in London's Covent Garden.
Made her movie debut in the 1993 British political drama In the Name of the Father.
Was fired from the 1998 Woody Allen movie Celebrity for "not being vulgar enough."
Has appeared in a number of films directed by her former lover, Mike Figgis, including One Night Stand, The Loss of Sexual Innocence, Miss Julie, Timecode, and Hotel.
A part-time journalist, she has written reviews and articles for British publications such as the Times of London, the Guardian, the Independent and the Spectator.
The daughter of activists, she is also involved with politics as an officer of Britain's National Civil Rights Movement.
