Elisabeth Shue Fast Facts:

Played on an all-boys' soccer team for three years prior to high school, an experience that was the basis for 2007 indie drama Gracie, directed by Shue's husband, Davis Guggenheim.
Broke into acting in the early 1980s with a series of national Burger King commercials.
Made her big-screen debut playing the girlfriend of Ralph Macchio's character in '80s favorite The Karate Kid (1984).
Breakout role came as hooker-with-a-heart-of-gold Sera in the acclaimed 1995 drama Leaving Las Vegas.
