Tony Sirico Fast Facts:
  • Did two stints in jail and talks openly about his early life of crime.
  • While serving in Sing Sing for armed robbery in the early '70s, he became hooked on acting when a traveling troupe called the Theater of the Forgotten visited the prison.
  • A character actor with a lengthy résumé, he frequently worked with Woody Allen (who grew up in the same Brooklyn neighborhood) and James Toback.
  • Along with a number of other New York-based actors, including fellow Sopranos players Vincent Pastore, Vincent Curatola and Frank Vincent, he is a member of the GAG (Gangsters Actors Guild), an informal fraternity of performers who have made careers out of playing hoodlums.
  • Active in children's charities, including St. Jude's and HeartShare.
  • With Sopranos costar James Gandolfini, he took part in a USO tour to visit troops stationed in the Persian Gulf in 2004.
