Tom Skerritt Fast Facts:

Was discovered while performing in a UCLA production of The Rainmaker.
Made his feature-film debut in the 1962 film War Hunt, alongside fellow newcomer Robert Redford. Redford later cast Skerritt in his 1992 film A River Runs Through It.
Had a cameo as a cop in the 1971 cult film Harold and Maude, credited as M. Borman.
In the wake of his Top Gun (1986) popularity, he appeared in an ad campaign for Guess jeans.
Lent his vocal talents to the Xbox/Xbox 360 game GUN.
Helped start The Film School in Seattle, where he regularly teaches courses.
