Tim Reid Fast Facts:

Was a marketing rep for the DuPont Corporation after college.
Began his entertainment career as half of the first interracial stand-up comedy duo, Tim and Tom, with Tom Dreesen in the late 1960s. They later recounted their experiences in the book Tim and Tom: An American Comedy in Black and White, published in 2008.
Costarred with his wife, Daphne Maxwell Reid, on numerous television series, including Frank's Place, Snoops and the syndicated talk show The Tim and Daphne Show.
In 1990, started an endowment program, now called the Virginia Scholarship and Youth Development Foundation, which offers financial help to deserving high-school students.
Cofounded New Millennium Studios located in Petersburg, VA.
Received the Oscar Micheaux Award for lifetime achievement from the Producers Guild of America in 1999.
