Tim Russ Fast Facts:

Was raised all over the world, as his father was frequently transferred by the U.S. Air Force.
Made his film debut in 1986, playing bluesman Robert Johnson in the biopic Crossroads.
Impressed Rick Berman and Gene Roddenberry when auditioning for the role of Star Trek: The Next Generation's Geordi LaForge; Russ lost the role to LeVar Burton, but soon made appearances on TNG and Deep Space Nine.
Finally landed a Star Trek series regular role on UPN's Voyager, playing Vulcan Tactical Officer Tuvok throughout the show's seven-season run.
A singer, guitarist and bassist, Russ has released several soft-rock albums, including Tim Russ (2000) and Kushangaza (2003).
Bugsters, an audio book he co-wrote, co-produced and did voice-overs for, won a National Parenting Publications Award in 2003.
Plays a rare comedic role, Frank the doorman, on ABC sitcom Samantha Who?
