John Turturro Fast Facts:

Tended bar and spent a year teaching history at a Harlem high school.
Made his feature-film debut in Martin Scorsese's 1980 boxing drama Raging Bull and worked with the director again six years later on The Color of Money.
Won both a Theatre World Award for Best Debut Performance and an Obie for his role in the 1984 off-Broadway production Danny in the Deep Blue Sea.
Has appeared in numerous films by Spike Lee and the Coen Brothers.
Won the Cannes Film Festival's Camera d'Or for the dark 1992 drama Mac, which he wrote, directed and starred in.
