Ving Rhames Fast Facts:

College roommate Stanley Tucci suggested he shorten his first name to Ving.
In 1993, while filming The Saint of Fort Washington in a New York City shelter, he met a homeless man who turned out to be his long-lost brother, Junior, a Vietnam veteran who had lost contact with the family. Rhames got his brother off the street and into an apartment.
Gave his 1998 Golden Globe award for Don King: Only in America to Jack Lemmon, whom he felt was more deserving for his nominated performance in the TV-remake of 12 Angry Men.
